Romana

Romana is a Time Lord character from the British science fiction series Doctor Who, introduced in the 1978 season "The Ribos Operation." She serves as a companion to the Fourth Doctor, played by actors Mary Tamm and later Lalla Ward. As a Time Lord of the highest academic standing, Romana brought intellectual sophistication and capability to the TARDIS, capable of piloting the ship and matching the Doctor's knowledge in many scientific and temporal matters.

Romana's character evolved from a somewhat prim, by-the-book Time Lord into a more adventurous and emotionally engaged companion.
